This is a well made device that does exactly what it says. It functions as a rheostat improvised. It's your bulb socket wrench, then you screw the bulb into it. So you can easily adjust the desired light intensity from fleeting faint glow all the way to maximize the light bulb will provide. The only thing you should remember is that this device will add about 2 inches height "of your bulb, so to speak, so it might not fit someLamps.
